When it comes to Worship and Praise, there are names that automatically become synonymous, with this genre of Gospel music, names such as Israel Houghton, Martha Munnizzi, Vikki Yohi, Judith McAllister, Cece Winans. However there is a young lady, who has been in the trenches for over 20 years pursuing the presence of God. Roz Brown her middle name should be worship, because thats not only what she does thats who she is!
To know her is to know that she is so in Love with God! From leading Praise and Worship at her local church New Jerusalem International Christian Ministries, in Richmond, VA to ministering in worship conferences, all over the country, the ministry of Roz Brown is on the horizon. Being the daughter of Her Grace, The Bishop Olive C. Brown Founder and Presiding Prelate of The International Christian Ministries and the Late Bishop James F. Brown has had its rewards. As a child she grew up singing in conventions and conferences from the east coast to the west coast and has traveled the globe nationally and internationally. After receiving her call to the ministry she not only soothes your spirit with her passionate style of worship in song, she will also set your soul on fire with her powerful preaching ministry. Blessed to occasionally sing backup for her musical mentor Dorinda Clark-Cole, being trained by, having worked with, and even opening up for such awesome gifts as The Late Dr. Mattie Moss-Clark, Twinkie Clark, Karen Clark-Sheard, Kim Burell, Byron Cage, Donnie McClurkin, John P. Kee, Darryl Coley, Donald Lawrence, Tye Tribbett and many others, have also been valuable experiences.
In the year of 2003 God connected her with singer/producer Gregg Mitchell, since then, as her Producer, Musical Director, and Writing Partner the two have joined forces to do a great work for the kingdom. Roz has spread her wings as a prolific song writer, writing Heavens music, songs that changes lives, mend broken hearts, and usher in the presence of the Almighty God. Her song Your Season stirred the house in Atlanta, GA at Theresa Hairstons 2004 Gospel Heritage Foundation Praise & Worship Conference; there she received rave reviews for her performance and song, by the gospel industrys finest. On January 19, 2006 the Glory of the Lord rested in the room as Roz Recorded her first Live Worship project Bring the Glory, on the campus of Virginia Union University in Richmond, VA. This project scheduled to release later this year is expected impact the nations with a Dimension of unrestricted throne room worship as never be before. With her musical styles ranging from traditional, contemporary, jazz and even neo worship she will bless every listener young or old. Dont worry if you havent heard of her you will, if you dont know her you will. So prepare your spirits for a journey straight to the throne room of God.
